This is fascinating. I'm so happy you and your birth family found and accepted each other, and that you and Chris chose not to endanger that. I know very little about GSA, or the science and psychology of attraction in general, but I'm not surprised GSA is common: there's an immediate emotional connection untempered by familiarity.
