The initial conflict sprang from the common rebuttal to the SWIRW claim. I wanted to explore whether it was really a rebuttal or not. So I put her in the situation and tried to get her out. I always knew she wouldn't blow him, but I didn't know how she was going to get out until she ran out of options, then all I had left was "he didn't mean it", which is when I worked out why he was doing it in the first place (to highlight the hypocrisy of people who use the slogan knowing it won't impact them)

TL;DR: it came to me as I was writing and I knew where it was going.😂
