One Process or Another
Is it writing, or masturbation? Or both?
The woman in the header image is so happy, I can only assume she has either just completed a novel… or she took a break from writing to push her chair back, hike her skirt up, tug her panties aside, and bring herself to orgasm.
It can be difficult to tell those two process — writing and masturbation — apart. In April, Subhi Najar asked authors to dive deep into their writing process, offering a series of prompt questions. Smillew Rahcuef is a writer (he tells me) but chose to adapt Subhi’s prompts and dive into his masturbation process instead. I was interested in writing about both processes, so I’ll leave it as an exercise for the reader to determine which process is being discussed in each answer.
