I never read official Medium newsletters, so I missed this. I'm not sure I like the 'to their own audience' part, because it seems to me that will mean editors picking favourites in a way that might cause resentment among other writers. It won't bring new readers to the publication, but it may cause division. We'll see, I guess. It's just Medium stirring the pot again.
